That the Tibetan Dalai Lama is a CIA asset was just a conspiracy theory, has now been confirmed as fact by the Los Angeles Times and the agency itself.
This brings to the question: how much of what the media consider as mere theory now would end up later on as fact?
How much of what the media consider as “fake news” right now would end up later on as the accurate account of an event?
In short, what gives them the authority to determine what is factual and truthful when their own journalistic standards and ethics include telling their readers mere half-truths for a while, i.e. when it is in the best interest of other institutions they are still working with in the interim?
The Los Angeles Times reports,
WASHINGTON — For much of the 1960s, the CIA provided the Tibetan exile movement with $1.7 million a year for operations against China, including an annual subsidy of $180,000 for the Dalai Lama, according to newly released U.S. intelligence documents.
The money for the Tibetans and the Dalai Lama was part of the CIA’s worldwide effort during the height of the Cold War to undermine Communist governments, particularly in the Soviet Union and China. In fact, the U.S. government committee that approved the Tibetan operations also authorized the disastrous Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba.
The documents, published last month by the State Department, illustrate the historical background of the situation in Tibet today, in which China continues to accuse the Dalai Lama of being an agent of foreign forces seeking to separate Tibet from China.
The CIA’s program encompassed support of Tibetan guerrillas in Nepal, a covert military training site in Colorado, “Tibet Houses” established to promote Tibetan causes in New York and Geneva, education for Tibetan operatives at Cornell University and supplies for reconnaissance teams.

Is the mainstream confirmation of the Dalai Lama as a CIA asset now can be considered the whole truth, or is there something more to the story?
To “dispel” the Dalai Lama supporters’ doubts, the representatives of the Tibetan leader claimed in an interview with The New York Times on October 2, 1998 that “the subsidy earmarked for the Dalai Lama was spent on setting up offices in Geneva and New York and on international lobbying.”
However, the devil is in the detail.
Verkhoturov emphasizes that the denial was intended for those unfamiliar with the documents and facts. The documents say that in 1963 the CIA allocated considerable funds for the Dalai Lama’s entourage in Dharamsala, India, where his residence was located. There were no offices at Geneva and New York at the time.
Furthermore, soon the role of the CIA in the 1959 Tibetan Uprising and the formation of the government in exile also surfaced.
The US government viewed Tibet as a potential bulwark against China since 1949, when Chinese Communist leader Mao Zedong declared the creation of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
According to Memorandum for the 303 Committee (1968), the so-called CIA Tibetan program was partially initiated in 1956 “with the cognizance of the Committee, is based on US Government commitments made to the Dalai Lama in 1951 and 1956.”
“The program consists of political action, propaganda, paramilitary and intelligence operations, appropriately coordinated with and supported by [less than 1 line of source text not declassified],” the document read.
The declassified memorandum stated that in September 1958 the 303 Committee approved the “CIA covert support to Tibetan resistance” — just a year before the all-out uprising in the region erupted.
According to the publicist, the Dalai Lama’s exile opened the door to the CIA’s covert program aimed at recruiting and training the Tibetan leader’s followers and supporters in reconnaissance operations, sabotage, guerilla tactics, data encoding and radio operator skills. According to some estimates, about 170-240 Tibetans had undergone this special training.
The Memorandum for the Special Group (1964) reveals that the CIA planned to create a spy network in Tibet, including “approximately 20 singleton resident agents… two road watch teams in Tibet to report possible Chinese Communist build-ups, and six border watch communications teams.”
Verkhoturov believes that this spy activity could have targeted China’s nuclear program and the country’s first nuclear tests on October 16, 1964.
However, China’s Cultural Revolution — a sociopolitical movement that took place in the People’s Republic of China from 1966 until 1976 — dealt a heavy blow to the Tibetan spy network and eventually brought an end to the espionage activity in the region.
As a result, the budget of the CIA’s Tibetan program decreased to $1,165,000 in 1968.According to Jonathan Mirsky, a historian of China, the CIA program finally ended with President Richard Nixon’s visit to China in 1972.
Still, in the early 1970s the CIA continued to allocate funds directly to the Dalai Lama, however, the amount of these subsidies remains shrouded in secrecy.“In 1999, I asked the Dalai Lama if the CIA operation had been harmful for Tibet,” Mirsky wrote in 2013, ‘Yes, that is true,’ he replied. The intervention was harmful, he suggested, because it was primarily aimed at serving American interests rather than helping the Tibetans in any lasting way. ‘Once the American policy toward China changed, they stopped their help,’ he told me,
‘Otherwise our struggle could have gone on’.”

Indeed, there’s more to the story and so, we need to continue exposing the false idols right at their own home turf.
Beyond the Dalai Lama’s engagement with the CIA, his conviction to his own teachings has come to question when he was caught wearing a Rolex while he preached about the great scourge of materialism in this world.
What Kind Of Man Wears Rolex?
When you think of Political figures who wear a gold Rolex you might think of U.S. Presidents, Dwight Eisenhower, Lyndon Johnson or Bill Clinton, or even former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney. When people think about Civil Rights Leaders who have worn yellow gold Rolex watches, they might think about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., or Jesse Jackson. One man who might surprise people with wearing a Yellow Gold Rolex President, is no other than His Holiness, The Dali Lama of Tibet.
As mentioned, The Dalai Lama typically goes out of his way to make certain his watches never appear to be fancy or ostentatious. His holiness does so, by typically putting them on inexpensive stretchable Speidel Twist-O-Flex watch bands. In this recent photo, we see the Dalai Lama with Prince Charles, and the Dalai Lama is wearing a yellow gold Rolex Day-Date with a cobalt blue dial.
http://www.rolexmagazine.com/2012/04/dalai-lama-rolex-keeping-time-of-his.html
From another site glorifying his love for watches…
“The Second War was still going on, and the Allies wanted to make a road over Tibet from Assam, in India, to China. So two American military representatives came with a letter from President Roosevelt and a box containing a gold watch. A Patek Philippe. I was very excited. It was a very beautiful, very smart model. I still have it and it still works.”
The watch is most likely a Patek Phillipe Perpetual Calendar Ref. 1526 from around 1942. No doubt it has been opened and dismantled more than once in it’s lifetime.
Besides this cherished first watch, His Holiness has also been photographed in public wearing a Rolex Day-Date and this two tone Rolex Datejust with a jubilee bracelet. I can only speculate what his collection might be worth should it ever go up on auction.

What about the holiness of his preachings on vegetarianism and non-violence?
Well, the CIA didn’t just finance his rebellion against China, the agency also trained and supplied arms to those who were willing to fight for him, according to Newsweek:
In the midst of this cold-war playground was Gyalo Thondup, who helped choose the first batch of trainees from Kalimpong. But the big brother kept his younger sibling — the Dalai Lama was then in his early 20s — in the dark about the spook business.
“I didn’t inform His Holiness about my contacts with the CIA and Indian intelligence,” says Gyalo Thondup. “This was very dirty business.”Under a full moon in October 1957, the first two-man team of CIA-trained Tibetans took off from an old World War II grass airstrip in East Pakistan, near Dhaka. They rode in a B-17 “sanitized” of all markings.
The parachutists were Athar Norbu and another Tibetan named Lhotse–“Tom” and “Lou” to their handlers. They were equipped with everything from dried beef to radios, from signal mirrors to folding-stock submachine guns.
They landed smack on target, 60 miles from Lhasa, and quickly hooked up with the local resistance leader, Gompo Tashi Andrugtsang, an influential trader whose legendary Khampas had been battling the Chinese for years.
The ragtag resistance waged a desperate struggle. In early 1958 many guerrillas were surrounded by 1,000 Chinese soldiers with artillery.
“All our leaders were wounded, including Gompo Tashi,” says one survivor. “We kept hoping the CIA would drop us some weapons, but they never came.
… Help was on the way. In 1958 more than 30 Tibetans began training secretly at Camp Hale, not far from Leadville, Colorado. Here about 300 Tibetans in all–assigned names like “Jack,” “Rocky” and “Martin”–were schooled in the black arts of covert warfare, from spy photography and sabotage to Morse code and mine-laying. “We had great expectations when we went to America; we thought perhaps they would even give us an atom bomb to take back with us,” said one trainee, Tenzin Tsultrim.

Enjoying the benefits of conniving with a certain entity while feigning ignorance of what crimes that same entity has committed is the height of one’s hypocrisy.
It’s not only that one practices what one preaches, but the same must clean his own house first before he ventures out into the world, and begin finding faults against another.
This week it was reported that a five-year old Tibetan girl had been allegedly raped by two Tibetan adult males in the settlement of Mundgod, South India. As shocking as the alleged crime was the revelation that the Mundgod camp officer and settlement officer had encouraged the father of the child not to pursue criminal charges against the men. Why? Out of fear of shaming HH the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan people. Sadly, I and others living in the Tibetan community in exile were not surprised to learn this.
- HuffPost web cached article, “Not in the Name of the Dalai Lama: Tibetan Reaction to Child Rape Reveals a Deeper Malaise”
Kalu Rinpoche says that he was molested by elder monks…”sexually abused by elder monks,” and when he was 18 his tutor in the monastery threatened him at knifepoint. “It’s all about money, power, controlling. . . . And then I became a drug addict because of all this misunderstanding and I went crazy.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5Ka3bEN1rs&feature=youtu.be
A gang of older monks who would visit his room each week…..This was hard-core sex, he says, including penetration. “Most of the time, they just came alone,” he says. “They just banged the door harder, and I had to open. I knew what was going to happen, and after that you become more used to it.”
It wasn’t until Kalu returned to the monastery after his three-year retreat that he realized how wrong this practice was. By then the cycle had begun again on a younger generation of victims, he says. Kalu’s claims of sexual abuse mirror those of Lodoe Senge, an ex-monk and 23 year old tulku who now lives in Queens, New York.
“When I saw the video,” Senge says of Kalu’s confessions, “I thought, ‘Shit, this guy has the balls to talk about it when I didn’t even have the courage to tell my girlfriend.’” Senge was abused, he says, as a 5-year-old by his own tutor, a man in his late twenties, at a monastery in India.
False idolatry and false institutions are two great scourges on this planet. Both have created a strong, opaque barrier between the mind and the Truth it is seeking.
The only way to know the Whole Truth and free humanity at last is to launch a great rebellion against them both.
Be prepared for what the mainstream media are doing right now, which is to publish some chosen truths to regain the people’s trust, as they start filtering the social media networks for “fake news”. Let’s not fall for this shenanigan, not anymore.
I´m not stonished! His organization is an ideal Instrument to keep young peace and justice loving People away from politics!
No surprise. When the Chinese revolution came to Tibet the young men in the monasteries could not wait to get out, run from the sex abuse and find girl friends…have families. The monasteries kept the populace in squalor…what is it about religious institutions? Have they no respect for God, for decency?
It’s also well known outside of hippiedom that thugs surround His Holiness and know how to treat journalists so they don’t forget the lesson!!
Another false idol …time to grow up.
Chinese propaganda to justify killings of over 1.2 million Tibetans and the destruction of over 6,000 monasteries.
There were 1.12 million Tibetans in Tibet in 1951. Today there are 6 million Tibetans in Tibet and a few million more in the rest of China. If 1.2 million Tibetans were killed there would be a negative number f Tibetans left in the world today.
Stop believing in Western propaganda; do some research instead.
I smell very much negative propaganda of China
You should read the book recently published by the older brother of the Dalai Lama. He admitted in his book that they made a big mistake to take money from the CIA and doing it dirty trick to China.
or perhaps just truth you dont want to hear.
I’ve met the Dalai Lama in 1974 and he is the real deal, a very awakened being. He himself took apart and put back together a Swiss watch before his exile. The Tibetans regard the engineering of these time pieces to be rather miraculous, and I agree it is can be seen as materialistic, but is not just the Dalai Lama who is into big nice watches. For our eyes, we think a Rolex means status. They are more interested in what the watch can do.
This article is a form of character assassination. I’ve been to Tibet, and the people are being destroyed. They are used as slave labor for mining by the Han Chinese. The New World Order is destroying Buddhism in China just as it is destroying Islam in Iraq.
Tibetan Buddhism is an authentic and deeply mystical tradition. I would have to talk to Kalu Rinpoche myself before I would believe these stories. I met his predecessor three times.
IF there is corruption is not the question, because there is always corruption because no one is perfect. This article is comparing a human being to what? Someone perfect?
Mao was dean at Yale China and Israel Epstein wrote his Little Red Book. The Rothschild banksters, your Khasarian Mafia, infiltrate both sides, so of course they offered Dalai Lama help, and the exiled Tibetans were starving and homeless, and they took it. Of course the CIA had a front to offer this “humanitarian” aid. Dalai Lama was not an “asset” that is ridiculous. An asset is a trained agent loyal to the company. Gloria Steinem was a CIA asset. Look it up. Here are two articles I’ve written on Mao and Dalai Lama. https://lipstick-and-war-crimes.org/mao-yale-man-rothschilds-create-peoples-republic-china/ and https://lipstick-and-war-crimes.org/tibet-dalai-lama-cia-myth-perfection/
Thank you for sharing the truth!
I guess you are telling us that the older brother of Dalai Lama was a liar. He published a book telling the world that they made a big mistake to accepting the CIA’s overture and money to rebel against the PRC.
That character is played by a Japanese actor by the name of Takeshi Kitano
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Vyn1hTojVlQ/U_ogJFTPq_I/AAAAAAAACOU/D9gvFw5hC2c/s1600/Dalai%2BLama%2Bis%2BTakeshi%2BKitano.jpg
this is so ludicrous as to be hilarious
Chinese propaganda.
Fascinating to see this, as I only a few days ago had a big realization about those monks protesting the Dalai Lama. I personally know some who participated. As you’ll notice, they’re mostly westerners. They’re members of a sect called the “New Kadampa Tradition” (NKT). And it’s all B.S.; they were scammed into it.
I was involved with the sect about 20 years ago, only tangentially, but I was pretty close friends with two of the (English) men who’d been sent here to the US, from NKT’s headquarters in England, to start centers and give teachings.
They were wonderful people, both of them. But an interesting point is that, for both of them, this was their first experience with any religion other than the every-day sort of Christianity they grew up around. AND, virtually all the Americans who went to their teachings and became adherents were also all “newbies,” unaware of other forms of spirituality. That’s presumably a big part of why they weren’t aware they were being manipulated.
The teachings were inimical to me, they were downright fundamentalist. I’d already had a fair amount of exposure to Zen, and to Vipassana. Though I knew only a little about Tibetan Buddhism, still, I knew that what I was hearing from NKT felt terribly non-Buddhist. I gradually just lost touch with the group, but was always a bit confused about what was going on with them.
For example, one of the leaders told me about these protests, and gave me the whole story about why they were so angry at the Dalai Lama. He was very perturbed; he totally believed the story. I listened politely, but the story didn’t ring true, even though I couldn’t figure out WHY the arguments were being set forth by whatever powers-that-be. HHDL was accused of unilaterally deciding that Garab Dorje, one of the very important founding Buddhas of Tibetan Buddhism, would no longer be acknowledged. Supposedly, he told his monks to pillage temples and destroy the Garab Dorje statues, etc. As it turns out, Garab Dorje is NKT’s “protector diety,” so they took it really personally, and protests were organized.
So I was like, “what?” I felt extremely certain HHDL wouldn’t act in that way. Nor, by the way, is it typical that real Buddhist monks would protest angrily like these guys. [See note below if you’re thinking about Burma right now.] And in subsequent years, I was fortunate enough to study with two of the pre-eminent Rinpoches of the Nyingma sect, and they totally revere and appreciate Garab Dorje; there was absolutely never any mention of him being on the outs. [Nyingma isn’t the same lineage as HHDL, but they still regard him with highest respect.]
Well, since then I’ve learned a ton about how the banking cartels work, and about their minions like George Soros, who create protests and other fake social movements, for the purpose of divide-and-conquer, so as to destabilize societies and then swoop in and steal resources, etc. The situation in Burma is known to be created and financed by Soros. Those aren’t real Buddhist monks, they’re just an American-created terrorist organization in yet another form. It’s the same playbook, over and over. The oligarchs create the terror that “justifies” war, pillaging, etc. Think back to the Middle Ages when the dishonest goldsmiths, notably the Rothschild family, figured out that they could print money out of thin air (ie, pretend they had the gold to back it) whenever someone needed a loan – and those who needed the biggest loans were warring parties. How to start a war, then, so you could finance both sides and collect the interest on those monster loans? Get a bunch of ruffians to sack a village in your own dukedom, whilst carrying the flag of the neighboring dukedom, so you could tell your duke he’d been attacked, and needed to go to war to avenge this terror. The original false flag ops.
So the pieces began falling together for me in re this “new kadampa tradition,” which is an example of a now-common variant of the process: create The Protester, the Agitant. First of all, just the name of the organization is idiotic – trust me, the Buddhist Path is a living, highly sacred system, based on MANY generations of extremely advanced individuals’ input and adherence to truths that are on a level most of us can only try to imagine. So the name “NEW Tradition,” besides being a ridiculous oxymoron, is absolutely something that doesn’t fit with the reality of Buddhism, which wasn’t built in a day. And NKT’s fundamentalist ways, as I’ve said, are completely non-Buddhist. A telling example is that both my friends, the teacher-monks, used the exact same tone of voice and facial expression when they said, “We consider our leader to be a Buddha.” In other words, it’s part of the dogma, not a personal insight or experience. And he’s not even a Rinpoche, a revered enlightened teacher – he’s a Geshe, a “scholar.” Granted, he knows a lot of facts. But facts do not a spiritual system make.
And then, the capstone of my whole theory fell into place: I remembered seeing a photo of their HQ. It’s in England. It’s one of those gigantic country manors – most of which were owned by Rothschilds or their minions. Bingo. I mean come on, how does a “new” “tradition” come up with the money to buy a place like that? I don’t remember their even charging for the classes, or not more than a nominal amount, anyway. They didn’t pass a collection plate, or ask for donations in any organized way. Someone is bankrolling them. Guess who.
As for WHY, well mainly I expect it’s because China has been engaged in serious genocide in Tibet for decades now. Over a million Tibetans have been killed. And Tibetans are some of the most loving, open-hearted, honest, generous people on the entire earth. But it’s so cold and barren up there on the Tibetan Plateau! So why the invasion, the takeover? Well, for one thing, fully half the world’s drinking water comes from there. As you may know, “water is the new oil.” For example, there’s a huge aquifer under the Golan Heights. Years ago I saw a list of similar places, all over the world. Water rights are being systematically stolen by the Cartel. Humans can exist without fossil fuel; but not without water. It’s the Ultimate way to control.
I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if the Kazarian Mafia is also highly threatened by the very advanced nature of Tibetan Buddhism. I won’t go into it, but it’s my opinion that if there’s any real power on the planet, it’s concentrated in that living spiritual tradition.
And by the way: I recently was shocked, shocked to find out what actually should be obvious, but just never occurred to me: Bolshevism and then Communism were just more Bankster operations. The sources I read both briefly mentioned that they’re also behind Chinese communism. That would explain some things, wouldn’t it.
The reason it was so shocking to me was that suddenly it became so very clear how incredibly manipulated ALL this geopolitical stuff is. Truly, for the Rothschilds and their ilk, the world’s all a stage. And they’re the playwrights and the puppeteers, and we’re convinced that one of their creations is a true enemy of what turns out to be just another of their creations. USA and USSR – both Rothschild-type kids. As always, the banksters finance both sides, and then gleefully watch the wars and genocide take place.
And another thing: this BS propaganda article about the Dalai Lama, talking about him accepting money from the CIA – the $$ wouldn’t have originated with the CIA, they’re of course just a front for the Banksters…. who will also have given money to the side opposing HHDL. It’s all B. S. Capital B, Capital S. Of course HHDL would have to accept money from whomever offered it; his people are being decimated. It doesn’t matter who it LOOKS like the money’s coming from – it’s ALL from banksters.
So… what does this tell us? Well, unfortunately, speaking of things being ‘CONFIRMED,’ this website is a confirmed propaganda site. It’s hard to tell exactly what’s going on with it – one sees the ubiquitous “Big Pharma must be taken down!” snippet at the bottom of each and every article and thinks “Ah! these people know the truth!” – but either the people choosing the articles are trolls working for the banksters, or – as Cedric the Entertainer would say – they don’t have the sense God gave a goat.
So beware. Yes, most of the articles republished on this site are good, they have a lot of truth in them. But if you haven’t yet noticed, it’s nearly impossible to find ANY source that is telling the whole truth. Either it’s purposeful, a propaganda method – the Bad Guys tell the truth, but sprinkle it with a crucial lie here and there, so it’s all swallowed unquestioningly – or, as the editor of Veterans Today has come right out and admitted, he is forced to include disinformation, else they’d not only keep his work from appearing, but probably terminate his life. So we need to get used to that, and hone our discrimination to weed out the disinfo, and keep the real intel. It’s a trial and error situation, a work in progress. And as the sargeant at the beginning of NYPD Blues always said – “Good luck – it’s a jungle out there.”
I was wrong that Garab Dorje was the Buddha in question; it was Dorje Shugden, not at all a founder of Tibetan Buddhism, but a late-comer, about 2000 years later. Some Buddhist higher-ups consider him malevolent, like the head of 25 monasteries in Bhutan, who holds the view: “People who practice Shugden “will get a lot of money, a lot of disciples, and a lot of problems.” LOL. Sounds a lot like Geshe-la.
And: “Shugden is “supposedly the spirit of a murdered Gelugpa lama who had opposed the Fifth Dalai Lama both in debate and in politics, Shugden is said to have laid waste to Central Tibet until, according to one account, his power forced the Tibetan Government of the Fifth Dalai Lama to seek reconciliation, and accept him as one of the protector deities (Tib. choskyong) of the Gelugpa order.”
So that’s the background. Sounds to me, though this is completely hypothetical, like the same troublemakers financing NKT today could have been involved a few hundred years ago, too. Heaven knows they already fully controlled Europe and were working on the colonies at the time.
Thank you Annie,
That has shed a load of light onto this path, this journey that I am on and for what – The Truth and that is all and that is all that counts at the end of day.
Agreed, NKT is a SOROS-funded or Soros-like bullsh!t organization. For (lots) more info, you could check out https://buddhism-controversy-blog.com/2015/05/10/how-kadampa-buddhists-nkt-use-systematic-fraud-to-manipulate-twitter-trend-statistics/
It’s my experience, too, that most who attend/join are well meaning, but naive people new to spiritual studies.
I’ve written a number of plays about Tibet, taking seriously the Dalai Lama’s request that practitioners of Tibetan Buddhism from the west support Tibet politically. As an aside, working closely with the Tibetan community for nearly a decade as well as being a practitioner, I learned a lot about China’s treatment and was appalled and increasingly so. Anyway, the documentary film we worked on involved many interviews and long filming of both the Tibetans, relatives of the Chushi Gangdruk fighters who successfully repelled the Chinese army for years, as well as directors of the CIA project to fund and train the fighting men. The CIA people came to value and respect the Tibetans as courageous, resilient, and dedicated. This project some of them openly professed was the only CIA project of which they were proud. This piece is so obviously based on Chinese propoganda, as they still haven’t rooted out, in spite of prison, torture, economic hardship, forced sterilization, the Tibetans’ strong allegiance to Buddhism and His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Yes there are the divisions others have mentioned. Well described above.
And is this the same reason that Tibetans view white folk as devils? On a documentary that I watch titled from East to West, the host and camera crew were chased out of several villages. They became wise to the propaganda that the CIA were implanting.
Interesting article and comments. I’ve learned a lot about this subject.
Do you know that according to the Tibetan teaching, the Lamas have a fast track to Nirvana, which the Dalai Lama acknowledged as true fact, by having as much sex with female followers as possible. A few Lamas in Southern California were prosecuted a few years ago for forcing their female followers to have sex with them against their
what utter nonsense.
what you are referring to is tantra, which does make use of male and female sexual energy in advanced spiritual practice.
yes, it certainly has been abused, and some lamas have been exposed, but it’s not about ‘having as much sex with female followers as possible’, that’s ridiculous!
